25 To Be Criticized
Oh no! I don't like being Criticized. Being criticized is awful! I don't want to be criticized either. But sometimes criticism is welcomed since it can help you to know more about yourself. Because the weak points are always neglected by people themselves, and they take time to be noticed and thus corrected. But sometimes people may be hurt by inappropriate criticism, and that is why so many complaints are made between managers and clerks.

29 Cosmetics
It is probable that men first painted their faces many thousands of years ago. The purpose is that they wanted to frighten their enemies in war. It is said that women in Egypt used cosmetics more than four thousand years ago. These women had different kinds of paint for different seasons of the year. Who invented the face-pack is unknown. But a recipe for face-pack was mentioned in a book written by a Roman poet. Face-pack made from flour, eggs and other materials makes the face smoother and brighter than a mirror. That's why women like it so much. Today it is common that women and girls use make up in public.

30 Pain
All of us have felt pain. Some of us suffer pain rarely. And others have painful attacks all the time. But most of us don't know why pain comes in so many forms. And few of us know what are the different ways to stop it. Today's program tells what scientists have discovered about pain, And how doctors are helping to fight it. Nobel Peace Prize winner Albert Schweitzer once said: "Pain is a more terrible lord of mankind than even death itself." This is because we feel pain. It is true that pain can take complete control of our body and mind. Yet we need pain. Without is, We would not know if we have hurt ourselves. It's our body's warning system. It tell us that we  are injured and should do something about it.

31 What's more Important
Many people complain that computers are taking over people's jobs. But in fact, computers only take over work that people find boring and unsatisfying. This allows those people whose work is taken over by a computer to develop a much more important talent. That talent is for making decisions and other more important things. This is one way to look at  people as a company's greatest wealth. Think about it. What would a company be without all of the thousands of people who work in it every day? Do you think people are a company's greatest Wealth?

32 Something about Atom
There are so many things in the world that are so different from one another that the variety is bewildering. Yet all these things, different as they seem, have one thing in common. All of them are made up of small particles. In fact, if you look at a piece of paper or at some other objects, it doesn't seem to be made of particles at all. It seems to be one solid piece. But suppose you look at a beach from an airplane. It would seem to be all one piece of ground. It is only when you get down on that beach and look closely that you see it is really made up of small grains of sand. Now the particles that make up everything about us are much smaller than grains of sand. They are so small, in fact, that most powerful microscope could not make them large enough to be seen. The particles are so small that there are more of them in a grain of sand than there are grains of sand on a large beach. A hundred millions of them laid down side by side would make a line only about an inch long. These tiny particles are called atoms.

And if they had used the right ingredients, the brownies probably wouldn't have been as hard as rocks! Had it not been for the rock brownie, Mr. Miller's tooth would not have been broken. If he had not broken his tooth, he would not be in hospital now. Oh, poor Mr. Miller!

After they had finished eating, the clerk was surprised at the cost of the wine. He asked why. The waiter said: " In our restaurant, a glass of wine costs the same a bottle of wine." "It's the same with many things here." "It's one of our rules." the young clerk's wife bacame very pale, when she heard this. "I wish I'd known about that-rule earlier," She said.
